Trauma-Informed Therapy

Trauma is a psychological response to a deeply distressing or disturbing event that overwhelms an individual's ability to cope, leaving them feeling helpless and emotionally shattered. Its effects can be pervasive, manifesting as anxiety, depression, flashbacks, and emotional numbness, while also causing physical symptoms like insomnia and chronic pain. Trauma can disrupt relationships, impair daily functioning, and lead to unhealthy coping mechanisms, but with the right support and interventions, individuals can heal and reclaim their lives.
